Our progress, impact, and goals for 2023–2024

28 October 2025 – In August, #TeamTranslator filed its first accounts since registering as a community interest company in the UK.

Since we (co-founders Anikó Pető-Mordovski and Kelsey Frick) started #TeamTranslator back in 2022, we have always wanted to run it as transparently as possible. That’s why we’ve used this opportunity to take a moment to reflect on how the incorporation has affected #TeamTranslator and its members, and if we achieved the things we’d set out to do.

With this in mind, we’ve created the Progress, Impact, and Goals: 2023–2024 document, which we’re sharing with you now:

To get a complete picture, the document not only details all the incomings, outgoings, events, and resources for the 2023–2024 financial year, but includes all the same information for all of our work pre-incorporation.

We really wanted to give our members a complete and unfiltered picture of what goes into running #TeamTranslator. There’s probably a lot more in there than you’d expect.
— Kelsey Frick
Our aim was to be transparent about what’s going on behind the scenes. But reading through the document could also be a great way for members to reflect on their time in the community, and perhaps discover initiatives and resources they haven’t heard about.
— Anikó Pető-Mordovski

And while #TeamTranslator’s core goals of maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive space for freelance translation professionals will always remain the same, we’re setting our sights on making sure that the group continues to offer more to its members as well as finding sustainable funding.
